Star Tsiopou attended School of the Art Institute of Chicago '23. She studied film photography and experimented with analog filmmaking. In her works, she has focused on the material of the celluloid film itself. She played with the process of developing the film to create texture and ghostly colors. Her photography is an exploration of her own identity, family history, and spirituality. Star is currently based in Paris. She received a post-graduate education in filmmaking at 3iS (International Institute for Image and Sound). She is interested in the art department in filmmaking. Her experimental artistic background continues to inform her roles on set and in her studies.
