My introduction to film started off playful and silly. Dance Little Flower combines photography and film editing software. My background is photography so I started off using something I know in order to learn to edit in Premier Pro. Before I underwent this project, I envisioned my friend as a flower dancing in my head. I wanted to translate our sense of humor into moving image.

Mi Concha and My pussy was an experiment. I wanted to make a video that is not erotic about vaginas. When I posted this on YouTube, it immediately became porn for men. Many suggested videos are niche pornographic videos of young women. There is no explicit nudity or any porn in this video. It is simple and straightforward. The only thing explicit is the words, "mi concha" and "my pussy." I wanted to prove that anything concerning the body parts of women becomes immediately eroticized and pornographic in the male gaze.
